Design vs. Darwinism

By Dave

On the Theories of Intelligent Design vs. Darwinism

Most of you know I sleep very little.  A confirmed insomniac for most of my life, I spend a lot of early morning hours (very early) reading, studying, working, and of course…drinking coffee.

I sometimes activate my brain by watching the news.  I flip back and forth between CNN and FOX, because I want to be fair and bal…forget it.  Not my recommended recipe for a good beginning to a long day because it usually pisses me off.  If I don’t like what I am hearing I may flip to the HBO channels to see if there is possibly a movie I have not seen.  It is rare I will watch a movie twice.  It really has to be good.

I am usually disappointed with the selection and flip back to the news, because one thing I have found in life is that I cannot drink coffee AND study, work or read.  I forget about the coffee, and that is WASTING good coffee.  Those of you who know me well, know I consider this “unforgivable”.

However, drinking coffee and staring straight ahead is an imminently doable and somewhat mindless activity in the early morning hours.

A few mornings ago, I was upset by the news of the day, so I flipped to HBO.

What I found was a very interesting program called “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” hosted by Ben Stein.

The 90 minute documentary explores the competing theories of intelligent design and Darwinism, or, creationism and evolution, or, religion and science, or, freedom and oppression, opinion and opinion, or…you get the idea.

If you are a Remote Viewer you have to find yourself on one side of the academic argument or the other.  This documentary is extremely well done, and will gift you with powerful information that will significantly improve how you view, and what you think you know about the argument.

As a Remote Viewer you may find yourself filling in some of the holes and finishing thoughts and sentences for the participants in the documentary.  I found it difficult to sit still through the entire 90 minutes.  I found myself reaching for my notepad and trying to take notes…but then there is that coffee wasting thing again.

So here is my recommendation:

1. Watch this film once and just absorb it.  Do nothing but listen and look.

The really important messages and revealing “truth” behind both arguments is in the final quarter of the documentary.

2. Watch it again with a notepad and capture ideas, direction, and what inspires you.

3. Watch it again, and commit to memory what you see.  Recognize the strength and weakness of the arguments.  And watch carefully for which ones fall apart under scrutiny.

I realize I am asking you to spend 4.5 hours watching a television program.

It will be well worth it.  You could spend thousands of hours exploring the arguments in depth and only be more confused than when you started the journey.

The Bottom-line here is to come away with a complete understanding of where and when the arguments converge, and who is capable of winning the argument beyond the point of convergence.

You should be able to:

1. Understand both sides of the argument.

2. Understand the real motive behind each (and that there are variables).

3. Understand what the “truth” is…

As Remote Viewers, I would be interested in reading what conclusions you have.  What is your version of the truth?  I promise, in time, I will share mine.
